First and foremost, thank you for showing interest in On the Vine Marketplace. As an independently owned marketplace, we have been overwhelmed by the warm reception we have received.  

On the Vine Marketplace was established in 2006 between two childhood friends, Abel Schultze and Scott Edwards.  While growing up in the small town of Eliot, Maine, the two were connected even before birth.  Abel and Scott’s mothers were very good friends and even had the unlikely occurrence of giving birth to their sons in the same hospital room just three days apart.  Abel and Scott continued to grow, as did their dreams and aspirations.  After graduating from college both pursued careers pertaining to their degrees. Abel met Angela, an accountant from California, and married in 2001, while having Scott participate as an usher in their wedding ceremony.  

Time had passed and both found themselves in a great situation.  Both having their own small businesses, they decided it would be great to combine their knowledge and create what is now On the Vine Marketplace. With Abel’s understanding of produce and grocery, since having part ownership of The Golden Harvest in Kittery, Maine, the insight Scott had gained with respect to seafood, while owning The Dover Fish House in Dover, NH  and Angela's expertise in finance's, the three where excited to get started on their new endeavor.
  

Our vision is to provide our customers with quality service, exceptional products, and the convenience of having it all in one place.
